Participation in energy sector associations

REN's active participation in energy sector associations, with a gradual significant increase in the engagement of its staff in these activities, results in effective sharing of knowledge and experiences with counterpart companies and other key stakeholders (universities, research centres, manufacturers etc.), which are essential instruments for meeting the new challenges facing the energy sector.

One of REN's commitments is to foster and support research and development projects in matters of interest for the company's activity by promoting and actively engaging in Portuguese technological innovation.

Within the scope of this commitment REN collaborates with various national energy sector associations, such as:

APE - Associação Portuguesa de Energia;
ELECPOR - Associação Portuguesa das Empresas do Setor Elétrico;
PCTE - Pólo de Competitividade e Tecnologia da Energia;
Lisboa e-Nova Agência Municipal de Energia e Ambiente.
