REN - Redes Energéticas Nacionais regularly identifies and assesses major stakeholders in accordance with the principles of AA1000APS - Assurance Principle Standards - 2008.

In 2015, under the commitment REN was made, the new listening to it´s stakeholders was composed of 3 phases:

•Analysis of best practices in communication of forms of dialogue and involvement with stakeholders

Analysis of the results of the consultation of interested parties

• Analysis of the forms of dialogue and involvement with stakeholders

Analysis of the results of the consultation of interested parties

•Analysis of the results of the consultation of interested parties

To this end was carried out a benchmarking analysis in order to identify forms of dialogue and engagement with stakeholders. This analysis allowed also to identify best practices in communication of forms of dialogue and engagement with stakeholders of the peers of the REN.

It was also performed an analysis of the current means of communication and involvement with stakeholders of REN.

In order to meet the goal set, was also made an analysis of the results of the consultation of stakeholders carried out in 2013 in order to identify what the subjects/issues that stakeholders have the expectation of view covered by REN and what themes where there is opportunity for improvement in the communication with stakeholders.

The above analyses were fundamental to define a proposal for dialog forms and themes to be addressed with the stakeholders.
