In addition to the construction and operation of the national transmission grid, we are also the system operator of the national electricity system. This involves scheduling generation to match, as closely as possible, the demand on the national transmission grid and to control in real time the facilities to correct imbalances. As part of managing the national transmission grid, we are also responsible for controlling the schedule of imports and exports with Spain and we manage the mechanisms to cope with interconnection congestions.
