REN organises Roadshow for Presentation of the REN Prize

REN will start a roadshow of Portuguese universities to present the REN Prize.
The REN Prize has been awarded since 1995 to the best academic work in the field of electrical systems and, more recently, the natural gas field.

In its eighteenth year, the REN Prize has been revamped in order to renew the focus on the innovation of energy systems as well as include candidates from a wider spectrum of fields. It is hoped that the new edition of the REN Prize results in more entries and more diversification of the themes.

Energy is tackled today from different professional perspectives, encompassing not just the engineering area but also the fields of economics, science and information systems.

A new jury was established and the rules of the competition were updated for the new edition of the REN Prize. The connection to the Portuguese scientific and technological system is of strategic importance, as is the tradition in REN. This fact is embodied in the high quality of the members of the Prize's jury.
