REN’s AGIR Prize devoted to the Promotion of Employment for Vulnerable People

Associations, companies and non-profit organisations can now apply for the 7th edition of REN's AGIR Prize, which this year seeks to support projects that help promote employment and professional integration of people in vulnerable situations.

The AGIR Prize seeks to find solutions for people facing specific problems that make employability difficult. This situation includes single mothers, with little family support, people with some kind of disability or mental illness, or who have in the past been homeless, young NEETs (who are neither in education or employment), young people looking for their first job, long-term unemployed, people over 45, migrants, former inmates, former drug addicts, victims of violence, among others.
Organisations wanting to apply for this year's edition can submit their application at www.stone-soup.net, by 30 April. The announcement of the selected projects will take place in September 2020.

The selection of the three best applications is the responsibility of REN, in partnership with STONE SOUP, which accompanies and monitors the use of the funds donated to each supported project, also evaluating the actual social impact of the awarded support. The winner of the first prize is granted a monetary sum of €30,000, the second, €15,000, and the third, €5,000.

The AGIR Prize is part of REN's policy of Community Involvement and Social Innovation. Every year, the AGIR Prize chooses an area of social intervention and awards three projects. The most recent editions were dedicated to the topics of "Promotion of Academic Success and Combating Early School Leaving" (2019), "Natural Heritage Preservation" (2018), "Labour Inclusion of People with Disabilities" (2017), "Fighting Poverty and Social Exclusion" (2016), "Active Aging" (2015), and "Job Creation" (2014).
