What We Do




REN has a central procurement unit that is responsible for all purchases of goods, services and contracts for the Group's different companies.

Its mission is to guarantee the optimisation of acquisitions in terms of overall cost, quality and service and help to create value for the REN Group, while guaranteeing the integrity, transparency, ethics and sustainability of the procurement process.

The procurement model of REN - Redes Energéticas Nacionais is based on the following fundamental principles:

• Clear segregation of responsibilities in the procurement process between the areas responsible for identifying and specifying needs, the procurement area in charge of negotiations and management of the procurement process and the areas responsible for contract management;

• Capitalisation of Group synergies via centralised negotiation, standardised practices and comprehensive, integrated management of the relationship with each supplier;

• Use of best market practices in the execution of and decisions on procurement processes with a view to continuous improvement and efficient, effective procurement;

• Compliance with strict ethical and professional criteria, ensuring integrity and transparency in the procurement process and guaranteeing strict respect for applicable legislation in line with REN's sustainability policies.
