REN

The AGIR Award reflects the commitment of REN - Redes Energéticas Nacionais - to Corporate Social Responsibility. The aim of the award is to encourage and support initiatives that address social problems.

In 2014, the first edition of this initiative was about job creation. In the following five editions, the AGIR Prize was dedicated to active aging; combating poverty and social exclusion; the employment of people with disabilities; preserving the natural heritage; and reducing school drop-out rates and promoting educational success, respectively.  In its 7th edition, the AGIR Prize will support three projects designed to stimulate the promotion of employment and the professional integration of people in vulnerable situations.

The AGIR Award is directed at not-for-profit associations, companies and organisations. The project awarded first prize receives €30,000, with the project placed second winning €15,000 and the third-placed project receiving €5,000.

The best projects are chosen by REN in partnership with Stone Soup Consulting, which will track and monitor the funds donated to each of the supported projects and assess the actual social impact of REN's support to each project.

Regulations and further information about the award are available here.
