Strengthen the National Electricity Transmission Network (RNT) by modernising and refurbishing the RNT infrastructure located near the Pego Power Station, through the construction of a new Switchyard and the dismantling of the current Pego Switchyard.
Integrate three new photovoltaic production centres, strengthening the network's capacity to receive energy from renewable sources.
Strengthen the resilience and stability of the RNT, in line with Portugal's climate and energy commitments.
The project is part of the national energy transition strategy, promoting the enhancement of renewable production in the country, reducing dependence on fossil fuels and improving the electrical infrastructure in areas with high energy potential.
