Management System (SGIIE) aims to improve the safety, continuity, and quality of electricity supply by preventing accidents and incidents and minimizing their consequences when they occur.

The requirements of this system are detailed in the technical regulatory specification RPTD No. 17, established in Decree 109 of 2020. It applies to facilities for the production, transformation, transportation, ancillary services, storage, and distribution of electrical energy, excluding installations for regulated and non-regulated customers, PMGD connected to distribution networks, and residential generation systems.

Transemel began the process of implementing the SGIIE at the end of 2020 with an initial diagnosis and successfully completed the implementation over a period of three years, achieving the required maturity level 3 in June 2024.

The challenge ahead for Transemel lies in providing a comprehensive management approach throughout the asset lifecycle, including meticulous risk assessment, process management or creation, selection of appropriate technologies, staff training and commitment, integration with other systems, and a focus on continuous improvement and innovation, aligned with the company's purpose.
