In the framework of the transmission planning process being carried out by the National Energy Commission (CNE), Transemel has proposed 4 expansion projects that will strengthen the transmission system, provide greater security, flexibility and continuity of supply in the areas from Arica, Iquique, Antofagasta and Los Ángeles..

The proposed projects include improvements to both the substations that are located on the outskirts of these cities and the transmission lines that connect their distribution systems to the national transmission network. Additionally, the projects were optimized from an economic point of view, with a view to reaching a high standard at a competitive price.

In case these projects are approved by the CNE, Transemel will invest around USD 34 MM.
