MIBGAS and REN present a timetable for the start of the organized natural gas market in Portugal in March 2021

MIBGAS, Iberian Natural Gas Market Operator, and REN - Redes Energéticas NAcionais, as Global Technical Manager of the National Natural Gas System, published a joint calendar for the implementation of the organized natural gas market in Portugal, a document that was sent to all agents in Portugal, and active participants in MIBGAS in Spain.

ERSE Directive No. 14/2020, published in Diário da República, on September 30th, regarding the rules for negotiating products with delivery on the VTP (Virtual Trading Point) on the MIBGAS platform and associated procedures, established that MIBGAS and the Global Technical Manager, to present a timetable for the implementation of the organized market in Portugal.

A plan was established between the two entities with the different stages of the process, with a view to starting the organized market on March 16, 2021.
