Once more using a virtual model, REN - Redes Energéticas Nacionais, SGPS reopened its doors to schools with the 2022 OPEN DAY. After the success, as regards participation of last year's edition, the event once again had high attendance, with a total of 160 students from 7th to 10th grade over the three days it took place.
Between 19 and 20 April, the initiative, which is part of the 2022 Annual Gender Equality Plan and is carried out under the scope of the We Programme, part of the Equality axis of this internal well-being programme, took place, again, under the slogan 'Talent has no Gender'. Focusing on the topics of equal opportunities and inclusion in areas of engineering, which are still associated, even today, with the male gender, OPEN DAY REN combined learning with a competitive spirit, with great success among the younger generation, and reinforced the idea that the areas of engineering are a path for everyone.
Making the company and the relevance of its work known is another of this action's goals, along with promoting a taste for engineering among students, through direct contact with physics and chemistry experiments promoted by the REN trainee group that takes on the role of host each year.
