REN 21,000 plant trees in Minho

Through these actions, REN seeks to promote the creation of a sustainable ecosystem and encourage a more active intervention of the owners in their land, which, by your time, will result in better management of the tracks, in the prevention of fires and the creation of economic value for the owners of the land. In the future, more actions are planned in other parts of the country.

REN is one of the companies that most contributes to the recovery of the native forest in Portugal, having already planted trees, 535,000 between 2010 and 2015 and has hit 1 million trees between 2018 and 2019. He is a member of the ECO-Movement Companies Against the fires, a civil society movement, with the support of the Government, with the involvement of several Portuguese companies and which aims to promote the prevention of forest fires and public awareness to risk behaviour.

These actions fall within the company's sustainability strategy, which rests on three pillars: involvement and satisfaction of stakeholders, promoting internal well-being and protect the environment.
