REN donates vehicle to Santa Casa da Misericórdia de Arez

REN - Redes Energéticas Nacionais donated a vehicle to Santa Casa Da Misericórdia de Arez, in Nisa, contributing to an improvement in the provision of social services in the region. The institution is the sole provider of care in the area, presenting a Residential Structure for the Elderly, Home Support Service and a Day Centre.

Due to the pandemic, there was an increase in requests and support provided, and as such the vehicle donated by REN will increase the institution's ability to distribute food and transport people. 
For the Coordinator of Santa Casa da Misericórdia de Arez 'this vehicle will be essential in streamlining its response to the daily demands of its social work and also in more exceptional situations, such as when users need to travel for consultations and other services.

For Margarida Ferreirinha, Head of Communication and Sustainability at REN, 'Santa Casa provides critical support to the population of Arez, and it is with great satisfaction that REN contributes, with the donation of this vehicle, to the continuity of this support and to the community's well-being'. 

With hundreds of years of history, Misericórdia de Arez recently inaugurated new facilities, of which Casa do Cruzeiro, the Residential Structure for the Elderly, with capacity for 36 users and that employs around twenty professionals, stands out.
