Analysis software for power lines management - REN Prize and Expresso publicize examples of innovation in Portuguese Universities

This student from Instituto Politécnico do Porto collected 17,459 reports of malfunctions in REN's High Voltage overhead power lines and built the database that was missing. The company can now use these Status Indices to more efficiently manage its assets.

On 8 November, the winners of the REN Prize will be revealed at a conference in partnership with Expresso, under the topic of Innovation in Portuguese Universities, the connection to companies and the creation of value for the country.
