Natural mechanism to store electrical energy - REN Prize and Expresso publicize examples of innovation in Portuguese Universities

This project from the University of Beira Interior - UBI, with ICovi, uses a natural mechanism to store the surplus of electricity produced in the hours with less consumption. The mechanism, also used in dams, will have a prototype open to the public, installed in the Botanical Garden of Covilhã.

On 8 November, the winners of the REN Prize will be revealed at a conference in partnership with Expresso, under the topic of Innovation in Portuguese Universities, the connection to companies and the creation of value for the country.
