REN carries out REN Chair's First Conference on Biodiversity

REN - Redes Energéticas Nacionais hosts, on 23 February, between 9:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m., in the Auditorium of the Serralves Foundation in Porto, REN Chair's 1st Conference on Biodiversity.

Founded with the goal of creating an innovative and integrated network of research, knowledge transfer, and scientific research and dissemination in the different fields of biodiversity, contributing to its preservation, the REN Chair is the result of a partnership between REN, FCT - Fundação para a Ciência e Tecnologia and CIBIO-InBIO from University of Porto.

This conference will feature, among others, the presence of João Conceição, Executive Director of REN, Joeseph Kiesecker, Senior Scientist at the international organization The Nature Conservancy, and Francisco Moreira, holder of the REN Chair in Biodiversity.

Issues related to innovation, environmental sustainability and creation of value in the energy sector compensating and protecting biodiversity, will be under discussion.
