REN delivers Municipal Prize of Architecture and Public Space

REN sponsored the Municipal Prize of Architecture and Public Space of the Town hall of Odivelas, having delivered the Honorable Mention to the ARX Portugal Arquitectos, for the project of “Escola Secundária de Caneças”.

The delivery of Awards, which this year mark its 4th edition, took place last June 22 in the City Hall of the Municipality, and the winning project was awarded to CAS Architects (“Buildings Prize”) for the project of “Unidade de Saúde Familiar da Ramada”.

For the Mayor of Odivelas, Susana Amador, 'this award represents our future, as part of Odivelas genesis'. The mayor also handed out the Honorable Mention, delivered to Carlos Rolo, representative of Escola Secundária de Caneças. Together with José Pedro Abrantes, representative of REN, Susana Amador handed the diploma and the identification plate of the place awarded to Ana Sequeira, representative of the Unidade de Apoio à Gestão do ACES Loures/Odivelas. Finally, Carlos Martins, Chairman of the Board of Directors of SIMTEJO accompanied the President in the delivery of the “Buildings Prize” to Jorge Simões, from the CAS Architects.

The Municipal Prize of Architecture and Public Space is awarded every two years and is aimed at architects, landscape architects and the promoters of projects and works. With this award the Municipality of Odivelas wants publicly recognize the work of these professionals, while aimed at the promotion of public buildings and public outdoor spaces, representing a contribution to the recovery and / or protection of the architectural and urban heritage county of Odivelas.
