REN receives award for employee health and wellness strategy and program

REN – Redes Energéticas Nacionais has won the "Wellbeing Award" presented by Workwell, in the category of companies with 251 to 1000 employees.

REN was recognised for its Organisational Health and Well-being Strategy and Programme from among more than 100 applicant companies. In the second edition of the award, REN was recognised after a quantitative and qualitative assessment by the jury of the best practices, policies, and programmes related to Health, Well-being, and Happiness that the company has developed over the past two years. The jury also had access to the evaluation carried out by the company's employees in the award application.

The personal and professional development of employees is “the guiding principle” for the growth and sustainable development of the REN Group. Within REN, the "NÓS" programme, created in 2014, is the main tool to provide an environment in which all employees can develop and maximise their personal and professional potential. This programme has three axes of action: Balance, Equality, and Inclusion, having impacted over these years the quality of life, experience, and satisfaction of the company’s employees.

The Jury for the “Wellbeing Awards”, which were granted to nine entities, consisted of representatives from Workwell, the Association for Health Management and Innovation, Nova University Lisbon, Porto Business School, University of Lisbon, ISCTE – University Institute of Lisbon, Universidade Europeia, Multicare, AON, Pair Up, and Grace.

The Wellbeing Awards are an initiative that aims to recognise and promote cases of excellence in the field of health and well-being within organisations, with the goal of valuing people. The award certifies organisations that have a management focus on their human resources and well-being. The award ceremony took place on 12 October at the Casino do Estoril.
