REN renews partnership with Movimento ECO

REN has renewed its partnership with Movimento ECO - Empresas Contra os Fogos, a program that aims to enhance the prevention of forest fires and raise public awareness to risk behaviors.

The priority of the program, especially in the approaching summer season where every year fires consume Portuguese lands, alongside with REN´s work in preventing and fighting forest fires in the electricity transmission lines corridors, justify the company participation in this movement, to which REN joined in 2012.

Movimento ECO which is in its 10th edition is a movement of the Portuguese civil society, and has the support of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Ministry of Agriculture and Sea.
