REN - Redes Energéticas Nacionais extended its partnership with Museu Nacional de Arte Antiga (MNAA) until 2020, thus renewing the commitment started in 2012 with the oldest and most representative Portuguese museum.
Over these six years, there were several initiatives promoted to bring people closer to the Museum, through special actions for schools and other specific audiences. In these initiatives, REN promotes the approximation of several institutions it supports within the scope of its social responsibility policy, such as, for example, during REN Day at the MNAA in 2017, dedicated to social inclusion, with the participation of Associação Salvador, Orquestra Sinfónica Juvenil and several elementary schools and senior-citizen institutions.
For Rodrigo Costa, REN's Chairman, 'the MNAA is a very important institution for the country, both domestically and internationally, and it is therefore with satisfaction that REN renews its support of the Museum in the next three years. During this period, we hope to continue to contribute to the Museum's renovation projects and its opening to new audiences through innovative and mobilizing initiatives, such as those that have characterized the actions of the MNAA.'
According to the director of Museu Nacional de Arte Antiga, António Filipe Pimentel, 'REN's structural support has contributed to the consolidation of the MNAA brand, inside and outside the country. Renewing this partnership enables us to continue this important task.'
