The director of Human Resources at REN - Redes Energéticas Nacionais, Elsa Carvalho, was awarded bronze in the category of Female Executive of the Year in Europe, the Middle East and Africa in the Stevie Awards Women in Business. Elsa Carvalho is the first and only Portuguese executive to have been honoured by these international awards.
The international character of this distinction represents the recognition and consolidation by the innovative and differentiating work developed by the Human Resources area, in its global approach and in its most diverse aspects.
Megan Roper, Marketing Director of DHL Express for Sub-Saharan Africa and Anna Matuszkiewicz, Director of Marketing and Sales of ARIIX for Europe won gold and silver, respectively, in the same category.
The Stevie Awards were created in 2002 to honour and generate public recognition for the achievements and contributions of organizations and their managers around the world. To award the prizes, each application is assessed by at least five judges, exempt and of different nationalities, having as evaluation criteria the innovation, integrity, creativity, global vision and impact of the work carried out in the various areas under evaluation.
