This year REN and the Museu Nacional de Arte Antiga (MNAA) are again opening their doors for a series of recreational and cultural initiatives. From15 February to19 JulyREN and MNAA are inviting children and grown-ups to an experience that is different from the normal from 10am to 1pm on the third Sunday of every month.
This is yet another initiative in the partnership with the MNAA, of which REN has been a patron since 2012. It is being marked yet again with a programme full of activities with families in mind.
The 'Family Workshops' take place on the third Sunday of every month and include a visit to the museum and games combined with a practical component that explores different themes and work techniques.
The workshops are for families with children aged 6 and over. Admission is free but availability is limited. Families are selected by order of enrolment up to the Friday before each workshop.
From maths to puppet theatre, and from the habits and dress of past generations to the experiences, feelings and memories contained within the human body, the 'Family Workshops' promise the family a different Sunday.
You can sign up by telephone (213912800) or by email (se@mnaa.dgpc.pt). Free.
More information about the theme of each workshop can be found here.
